Biography
Seedtime and Harvest Ministry serves primarily in Haiti, teaching the Bible. We look for those willing to apply what they learn, growing their desire to learn more, apply more and finally teach others about the path they are on. Our core teaching materials evolved from Crown Financial Ministry’s small group Bible study as well as their God Provides films series. When we have helped educate and motivate people to know, apply and teach God’s Word, we go home happy.
Brian was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1986 with a degree in Nuclear Engineering.
Laurie was born in Winfield, KS and graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1987 with a degree in Geology.
We met at Hillside Christian Church in Wichita in 1991 and were married there on October 3, 1992. In 1994, we moved to Lyndon, KS. While we were in Lyndon, our son, Paul (1997) and our daughter, Sarah (2001) were born. Our time in Lyndon proved to be a time of great spiritual growth for both of us. We felt God calling us to full time ministry and moved to Haiti as a family in 2004. We lived in Haiti for 4 years and moved to Derby in 2008.
Currently, Brian travels to Haiti for ministry 3-4 times a year. While stateside, he works on improving ministry material, planning trips and enjoys composting.
Laurie has worked at Mulvane Christian Church for 15 years and handles administrative functions of the ministry. Paul lives and works in Springfield, MO for Rottler Pest Control. Sarah is finishing her senior year at College of the Ozarks majoring in accounting.
Testimonials
Haitian Pastor – “Your class was a stimulant for my church. It brought them all together and now we are preparing to build a bakery to sell bread and support our church programs. We need to make progress by our own hands.”
4 different Haitian students, including one Pastor – “You are too late, I needed this years ago.”
Haitian Pastor – “There were a lot of things that you showed me that I did not know. Now, I am using your materials to teach my congregation. I ask them questions just like you asked us in class. I know the Haitian person in Port-de-Paix who cosigned for a large loan for a Haitian friend who was building a hotel. The friend defaulted and they came to the US to get the co-signor. These two men are no longer friends.”
Haitian Girl, 14 – “I would like to do more classes, to learn more.”
Haitian Man – “I had already read the whole bible. I typically read 4 chapters a day. And your class helped me a lot. Now I say, no more slavery, no more debt. I shared what I learned with some Sunday School teachers. I help others too. I want to teach a class myself.”
Haitian Lady – “I knew almost nothing before your class. I had no control of my money. Now I control what I have. I talked to my husband about your class and he learned a lot. I am willing to teach a group in my church.”
Haitian Preacher – “The Bible Calendar you gave us helps me know what I have already read and what is left.”
Haitian Deacon – “This class helped me personally a lot. Now I am better at managing money. In the past we only prepared people for heaven. Now we help them prepare also for life today thanks to your class.”

Haitian Man – “I liked seeing the Biblical blessings of honesty in chapter 5.”
Prevelus – “I learned a lot of wonderful things…I would encourage others to read the Word of God more, to practice the Word of God well, to not let pride lead you but let God lead your life.”
Solini – “I learned how we should manage ourselves.” He says he will continue by teaching other people. I expect he will now teach about ‘faithfulness.’ His favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 4:2, “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

Pastor A. – “I will make more effort to not make debt and to not encourage others to make debt.” Keep in mind that our discussions revealed that Pastors feels especially obligated to borrow money to resolve problems, so this is a very positive step for a Pastor, to look to God before jumping to money.
